Dominick R. (Dom) Clarizio has more than 34 years experience with several majors in the petroleum industry. His assignments include various managerial positions in Marketing Development, Franchise Project Management, Marketing Engineering, Budget and Planning as well as Retail and Wholesale Management.
Dom’s assignments included the consolidation of 7 Engineering Centers into 1 based in headquarters that was seamless to the US wide 3500 retail dealers, 76 operating terminals and corresponding construction/maintenance contractors. His responsibilities included formulating, reporting and managing a maintenance, Engineering and environmental budget of $500MM. Dom has proven to the consummate professional, eager to take new challenges and consistently providing the desired results. One of his Work Team deliverables for improving the customers' buying experience included the concept, design, testing the technology, appropriating the necessary capital funds, and installation of the equipment now known as "Customer Activated Terminals" (CATS) throughout the U.S., a ground breaking 'first' in the industry.
He has developed intimate knowledge in the operation and management of retail outlets and the fuel distributor business. This in depth knowledge proved instrumental in the successful transition of an oil major heritage retail and distributor business through a series of several mergers and acquisitions. Dom has a professional Real Estate license in the state of New Jersey with a focus on the commercial side of the business, and emphasis on the service station business appraisals and sales.
Dom served as a captain in the US Army from 1968 to 1971, and received a degree in business from Baruch College (CCNY), and an MBA from St. John’s University (NY).
