Roberto is a TMG downstream energy business consultant with focus on planning, finance, economic evaluation of investment projects, market analysis and commercialization of liquid fuels and biofuels in Latin America.
Roberto’s professional experience of more than 25 years in Colombia and other Latin American countries is highly recognized in the industry. He has provided consulting services and developed market, economic and regulatory studies for several, diverse clients, mainly in the automotive, marine, aviation and industrial fuels markets. He is also a very active biofuels consultant, supporting both the public and private sectors in the implementation of the fuel ethanol and biodiesel programs.
His professional activity has naturally expanded into training in his areas of expertise, mainly in energy programs in universities and private training for downstream companies. As a certified instructor with a global training company, he has facilitated training sessions for a top U.S. oil company in Miami, Buenos Aires, Managua, Lima and Bogotá.
Previously, he was a Commercial Director at Ecopetrol, the national oil company in Colombia, where he was responsible for managing domestic sales of liquid fuels, LPG, industrial products and petrochemicals. He also held several, executive management positions with a multinational U.S. oil company in planning, finance, marketing, organizational development and public relations.
Roberto holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, and speaks Spanish and English fluently.
